Inspired by Roger Caillois’ four types of games and playful ‘Mr. Men Little Miss’ characters, we explore how competition, chance, dizzy fun and pretend play build your child’s curiosity, creativity and self-awareness. At The Sustainable School, we uses playful, story-rich STEAM learning to build curiosity, creativity and consciousness about sustainability.

We had a blast at the New Zealand International Science Festival 2025, where The Sustainable School brought hands-on STEAM and sustainability fun to curious young minds. From recycled art to playful eco-games, children and families rediscovered the joy of learning by getting their hands dirty—while picking up new green habits along the way!
